KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER (ENERGY INDUSTRY) – BARCELONA

We are helping a StartUp who offer a B2B Software for Electricity Sector to recruit KAM FOR ENERGY INDUSTRY in Barcelona

It’s a permanent position, hired by the StartUp, we just help them in the recruitment process. The salary range it will depend on the experience but it could be 40000 – 49000 € gross per year + 10.000 – 15.000 variable.
They offer flexible Schedule and hybrid system, 2 days per week in their office located in Barcelona, 3 days per week on remote.
They are a cleantech startup born in Barcelona three years ago. They offer a B2B Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud platform to optimize energy flexibility, allowing end consumers to reduce their electricity bill and gain extra revenues, helping the integration of renewables in the energy system. They are a young company using deep tech and data to accelerate the energy transition. Their Business Development team is responsible for leading the sales development of the company at national and international level.
The core technology leverages machine learning to make it possible to manage all types of demand flexibility assets without discrimination.

As a Key Account Manager (KAM) and integrated in the Business Development Department your main role will be to manage the commercial relationship with current customers to maximize the retention rate and client’s revenue (ensure renewals, upselling and cross-selling) in coordination with the Product team. Te target are utility companies, energy marketers, energy service companies, energy consultants or battery or solar plant operators

About the role

-Manage commercial relationships with their clients and being the VoC: develop network, identify customer’s organigram and key people, understand client’s needs and their strategic plan in energy services.
-Maximize the retention rate and client’s revenue.
-Identify new business opportunities, evaluating existing/new products and services, preparing and presenting offers and contracts.
-Close follow up of their services’ performance and KPIs: follow up contracts internal and client’s status reporting, contract execution and billing/payment follow up. Intensive use of CRM.
-Work closely and aligned with their Product team to improve the Customer Journey.
-Coordination and collaboration with other teams such as Administration and Marketing
-Support other activities such as New or International Sales.

Requirements:

-Masters in industrial/energy engineering or equivalent.
-3+ years of experience in sales management in the industrial environment (B2B). -experience in software development companies for the energy sector, in the energy sector itself, or in software solutions companies for the industry.
-Availability to travel about 25% of time.
-Spanish (Native) & English (Advanced)
